I have had the pleasure of knowing Chris for some time. Because I was not from the area, Chris offered to take me ice fishing in Sturgeon Bay. It was easy to see he knew what he was doing. I had no experience in catching White Fish but because of his expertise, I went home with fish!

Just had a great weekend out fishing! Chris was an amazing guide! Other then Chris just being a great guide he has all new top notch equipment for you to use! Also he did a great job cleaning our fish and had bags for them! ASK about the underwater camera it’s very very cool to watch the fish come in!
Big side note- his Can-am SIde by Side is AWESOME!! And fully enclosed for those cold morning rides out to the heated shacks!!!

Chris is a great guide, his shacks are nice and toasty and the transportation to them is as well! He has bathrooms out on the ice and works hard to keep you on fish, you won't regret booking with him!

We booked Chris DeWolfe for a Saturday trip. I knew the fishing wasn't the greatest out there, but we really wanted to get at least one trip in this year.
We scheduled pickup with Chris around 8:00 AM. He was there before we were. First time ever we did not need to wait for a guide. Once we waited 2 hours for the guide to arrive.
And when Chris showed up? Man, what a great UTV! All enclosed and heated! My wife was very comfortable!
We got to his shacks, which he just moved. They were gorgeous. No air leaks. Very warm! Big, too. Plenty of room to move around in them.
Fishing was spotty. We would have a flurry of whities, then go 30 minutes without any coming by us. But, we managed to catch plenty of fish and took home our 11 fish for meals this week. We could have kept more, but there was no point.
We even had a few walleyes and perch come by the baits. (Wife got a 14 incher) Now, we knew this because Chris let us use a Marcum that he had that was equipped with a camera. We had Vexilars with us, but it was sure interesting seeing the fish on camera! I got to watch about 6 of them shark around my bait before eating!
Then...he cleaned our fish for us. De-boned and they were wonderful fillets. We ate 3 of them last night and they were delicious.
We've caught more fish on a trips before, but these fish we kept were bigger. Averaging about 18 inches. Got quite a few over 20.
Just a great guide. If you are looking to get out, I HIGHLY recommend Chris!

If you are new to fishing for whitefish or just don't want the hassle of bringing your own equipment then this trip is for you. This trip includes a heated ride out to warm shacks on the fish. DeWolfe Ice Fishing will also supply top of the line equipment and bait. A guide will fish along side you in the morning teaching you the technique and check back in throughout the day.

Shack Rental - $200 per shack (4 people per shack $50 for extra person - 8 hours)

Perfect for fishermen that have experience fishing for whitefish and own their own equipment. We will provide a ride in a Can Am Defender Max XT to heated shacks that are placed on the fish.

Fully guided walleye/ whitefish combo - $150 per person

Late ice in Sturgeon Bay offers opportunities of catching truly giant walleye. This trip focuses on walleye in the morning and evening during the prime bite window. During the day we switch over to targeting whitefish. All equipment, electronics and bait are supplied and a guide will be with you the entire day. Group sizes are kept small for this trip so book early to reserve a trip.
